Los Tucanes de Tijuana

Los Tucanes de Tijuana, a Mexican norteño band led by Mario Quintero Lara, were pioneers in playing their music in a rougher manner as opposed to the traditional norteño music of northeastern Mexico. During their career, they have garnered several awards and recognitions, including a Latin Grammy in 2012 for the album 365 Días, five Grammy Award nominations, nine Lo Nuestro Awards nominations and multiple BMI Awards for Quintero as a composer. In 2019 they became the first regional Mexican music group to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. They have sold more than 25 million albums worldwide and have obtained 34 gold and 30 platinum records.

Voz de Mando is a Los Angeles-based band from Mexico specializing in the norteño-banda genre. In 2010, they released their first major label album Con la Nueva Federacion, that included their breakout single “Comandos del M.P (500 Balazos).” Their hit single, “Levantando Polvadera,” won song of the year in the Regional Music category at the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards, the first-ever regional Mexican band to win an iHeartRadio award. In 2017, Voz de Mando released their seventh studio album, Clase de Historia, featuring the viral hit “Soldado Latinoamericano” and the Billboard top 10 hit “Pa’ Que No Me Anden Contando.”
